The CLEEN study

We have commenced the I-CLEEN study this week, a study that focuses on additional cleaning of shared medical equipment in the ICU. During the control phase, cleanliness will be observed from UV audits. In additional, environmental swabbing of equipment is now occurring. Multi-drug resistant organisms from patients in the ICU and from environmental swabs is being stored for genomic sequencing.

The CLEEN study this week saw another cluster change from control to intervention. Our PSAs are doing a fantastic job with cleaning shared medical equipment (in the intervention).
